01 What's your routine on Christmas morning?
Open Santa gifts. We have coffee, milk juice, rolls and
pastry, then later on we get the breakfast/brunch going
while the kids are engaged in what Santa brought them.
The brunch goes fast for everyone is anxious to
exchange & open presents. We skip lunch and have an
early dinner; Honey baked ham with hash browns,
asparagus, rice and sausage topped with cranberry
       and steamed veggies.

02 - The best Christmas I ever spent was....
Many but I can't forget the one where my siblings
and i were able to have a family reunion at our
parents' house in Carcar in February. Since we never
are able to be together for Christmas ( too busy with
our own lives) we decided to have a make believe
Christmas day in February. So we had a tree, wreaths
and presents wrapped in Christmas paper. Our aunts
uncles and relatives also came. It was a great
celebration as our parents were still in good health
and old age hasn't diminished their quality of life.

03 - What do you do Christmas Eve?
After church we have a nice dinner and spend
quality time by playing games, watch a movie and
call family/friends we don't get to see much.We
don't open presents. We make sure we leave Santa
        milk and cookies before bed.

        After Thanksgiving

10 - Favorite holiday traditions with your family?
A trip to Chesaning, 92 miles away, after Thanksgiving
where the homes and public places are lit with candles
in a brown bag filled with sand. It's beautiful, awesome
and romantic as you ride in a horse drawn carriage.
Sometimes we have chestnuts in an open fire...really.

A trip to Frankenmuth,90 miles, where it's Christmas all year
round. We enjoy the chicken Bavarian style lunch or dinner
and bring back their famous stollen bread to share with
friends and kids' teachers as gifts. Can't imagine a Christmas
        without going to Frankenmuth.

11 - What’s your favorite part of Christmas Day?
The brunch and exchanging gifts and watching
        the grandkids open their presents.

12 - Christmas Shopping, carefully planned or last minute?
Mostly beforehand but last minute works too.

13 - The best Christmas present I ever got was.....
A trip to Grand Rapids, MI which was a combination
of birthday-Christmas gift. Overnight stay at the W-new
Marriott on the CONCIERGE level, my very first, and
saw the NUTCRACKER, visited the Frederick's Meijer
Gardens, and indulged in a French manicure plus good
wine to take home. It was fun, thanks to my daughter!

14 - Favorite Holiday Memory as a Child?
I came down the stairs and stop midway, heard my parents

19 - My favorite thing about Christmas is....
Everyone is at their best this time of the year. See the
article on the home page in detail. After the 25th even the
Christmas carols you hear on the radio don't grab you the
       same way.
